    There are no prerequisites.  This class is open to everyone.   

    Ortho-Bionomy® Self Care is about tuning in to our own inner experience.   We all run around too busy to pay attention to all that our body is trying to tell us.  We become so overloaded with layers of complex stress patterns that we ignore signs and signals that indicate we are out of balance.  In this class you are going to learn how to recognize the signs and signals….and how to move away from the tension and stress patterns and back towards balance, comfort and ease within ourselves.
     This class will help you to understand yourselves in a deeper way.  You will develop observation skills that will make you aware of your own natural alignment, your own tension patterns, energy blocks as well as structural misunderstandings.  
    What You Will Learn
     Simple positions, movements and subtle observation techniques. You will learn to recognize the link between lines of tension in your body and tension in your breathing patterns.     You will learn to move away from discomfort and towards ease and balance. You will learn to choose comfort in your daily lives

 Liz Olivas, MT, CLT, RIOB

​Liz Olivas is the president and founder of The Therapeutic Alternative. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist who has trained with Hildegard Wittlinger of The Dr. Vodder School in Walschee, Austria. Additionally, she is an Advanced Practitioner and a Registered Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy® with the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International®.
Liz brings with her an accumulation of over 32 years of private practice; during this time she recognized a need for a form of therapy that effectively releases tension, stress, acute and chronic pain with little or no damage to the surrounding tissues. She has combined and blended methods in the treatment of post mastectomy lymphedema and post mastectomy pain syndromes. She also works with clients who have post-surgical issues caused by edema, scar tissue and traumas, as well as structural misalignments.
As a pioneer in her field, she has explored outside the box of the conventional approach to treatment and is sought out to teach and share her discoveries with students as well as other therapists.
Liz Olivas maintains a private practice at The Therapeutic Alternative in Boca Raton Florida.

Class begins at 9:00 am sharp. Please arrive at Comfort Inn Oceanside one half hour early on the first day to purchase the weekend parking pass upfront. $5.30 per day. $10.60 for both days. Overnight guests pay $10.60 per day for parking. Display parking pass on your dashboard.
