The bowstring effect class was developed by Terri Lee an Advanced Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy. In this class we will be using Ortho-Bionomy to work with the “Bowstring”. The bowstring relates to the anterior, longitudinal, interconnected fasciae that help maintain the anterior-posterior balance of the body.” The bowstring begins at the base of the occiput and ends at the plantar fascia. It also has connections to the dural tube and the eight osteopathic diaphragms. In this class we will work with areas of the body that relate to this anterior line of fascia allowing the body to self-correct bringing tone and balance. We will also look at how this effects the posterior side of the body.

Michael Miller is a Registered Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy®, NCBTMB CE provider and offers CEU’s for New York State. He became a Licensed Massage Therapist in1993 to help people who are in pain. He started practicing Ortho-Bionomy in 2000 to compliment his massage and to help people when massage wasn’t enough. He started teaching in 2009. His goal is to help students understand the principles of Ortho-Bionomy in order to help their clients and themselves live better lives.

Class begins at 10:00 am sharp.

Ortho-Bionomy® in Florida is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider.
