Ortho-Bionomy®: Fluids, Fascia and the Lymphatic System -
Boise, ID September 11, 12, 13 &14 Day 1 – Intro to Fluids Fascia and the Lymphatic System, Experiential Exercises, Lymph Node Drainage, Video Presentation of Lymphatic Structures. Day 2 – Head Neck and Shoulders - Will include sinus treatment and inner mouth Day 3 – Upper Trunk, Shoulders and Arms, Diaphragm Day 4 – Lower Trunk – Diaphragm, Pelvis, Legs/Breath Movement work to enhance the lymphatic function. Day 5 – September 15th - Study Group 9-12pm (Register with Robin -$75. Paid directly to instructor) This study group will be an extension of the Fluids Fascia and the Lymphatic System class. It will give students a chance to review any material that was presented in the class. It will also include time for the students to observe Liz treat a client with an injury or edema issue. This will give students an opportunity to see how she integrates working with the direction of flow and the fluid system in an Ortho-Bionomy® Session. There will be the opportunity for questions and discussion throughout the Study Group. Students may sign up even if they didn't take the class Round Robin 2:00PM - 5:00PM ( Register with Robin - $100. Paid directly to instructor) A round robin session is composed of three students and 1 instructor. All three students be will be worked on by the instructor. Students will be able discuss, ask questions and process their sessions together, I highly recommend this as a learning tool. We will only be able to accommodate 3 students so if you are interested sign up quickly! Liz Olivas
Instructor Liz Olivas is the president and founder of The Therapeutic Alternative. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist who has trained with Hildegard Wittlinger of The Dr. Vodder School in Walschee, Austria. Additionally, she is an Advanced Practitioner and a Registered Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy® with the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International®. Liz brings with her an accumulation of over 32 years of private practice; during this time she recognized a need for a form of therapy that effectively releases tension, stress, acute and chronic pain with little or no damage to the surrounding tissues. She has combined and blended methods in the treatment of post mastectomy lymphedema and post mastectomy pain syndromes. She also works with clients who have post-surgical issues caused by edema, scar tissue and traumas, as well as structural misalignments. As a pioneer in her field, she has explored outside the box of the conventional approach to treatment and is sought out to teach and share her discoveries with students as well as other therapists.
